Hope Mead

Hope Mead

Filmmaker, Photographer, Healing Arts Practitioner

Hope Mead, co-creator of Orbs: The Veil Is Lifting, is an artist who expresses herself in many forms—photographer, filmmaker, songwriter, healing arts practitioner, and mother.

While studying photography at California Institute of the Arts in her early twenties, Hope traveled to a village in Liberia, West Africa with her Shamanism professor. There she had her mind expanded not only culturally by living in a polygamous society, but through contracting malaria and having a near death experience.

Two months after returning from West Africa, Hope was introduced to Dr. John Lilly and began experimenting with his isolation tanks. The first time she floated in the dark tank, she returned to the same place she had discovered in her near death experience—and was validated at a deep level about something she had known since childhood: we are aware of a very limited reality, and we live side-by-side with other dimensions that are always available to us.

Hope is delighted that she can now share these other dimensions through her photography and the Orb experience.

James Gilliland

James Gilliland

Spiritual Teacher, Author, Energetic Healer

James Gilliland was raised in a small desert town, spending most of his time in nature. Following a diverse education and successful business career, he experienced a near death experience through drowning, which opened his eyes to an expanded view of reality.

This began his spiritual quest that included studying yoga, The Inner Christ Ministry and the Tibetan Foundation. He has studied with yogis, lamas, and master teachers, and was recently honored in the Lama traditions as "Rigdzin Norbu"—Jewel of Pure Awareness.

Since 1986, James has lived at ECETI (Enlightened Contact with Extraterrestrial Intelligence), a 70-acre mountain retreat at the base of Mt. Adams in Trout Lake, WA where UFO's have been seen for hundreds of years dated back through native sitings.

Joan Ocean

Joan Ocean

Psychologist, Researcher, Author

Joan Ocean is regarded as an authority on dolphin tel-empathic communication. She developed the methodology known as Participatory Research, in which humans and cetaceans conduct research with each other as equals.

A Master of Science in Counseling Psychology, Joan is a psychologist, shaman, and scientist who creates environments that support people in transition—from one lifestyle, one dimension, and one physical form to another.

After meeting artist Jean-Luc Bozzoli, Joan learned to swim and began swimming with cetaceans in oceans and rivers around the world. She experiences their communication as sound holography—a language that intensifies physical senses, bypasses rational-cognitive paradigms, resonates directly with cellular intelligence, and awakens multiple levels of perception and consciousness.

In 1984, Joan and Jean-Luc founded Dolphin Connection to explore the advancement of human consciousness through visionary films, books, artforms, and Ocean Seminars encouraging friendships between people and ocean-swimming dolphins and whales.
